I just wanted to post these pictures from last weekend. We went to RL again to announce the football game. On Saturday we had to run some errands in San Angelo, so we met up with the Cozarts for lunch at Henry’s. We miss our dear friends.

P.S. I had to started supplementing Caleb’s last feeding of the day with formula! UGH! I don’t like it. Just a bit over 2 months and he can have cow’s milk. I can’t wait.

One of the two wonderful mother-in-laws I have, sent some new clothes for Caleb. He was enjoying playing in the box and throwing the new clothes around.

Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary. We celebrated by eating a yummy dinner of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli with cheese at home. I attempted to make a chocolate pie, but it was runny, so I threw it out. What a joy it is to be the help meet to Chad. Above are some pictures of that wonderful day two years ago. So much has changed. 

In case you didn’t know, we eloped. That is why I’m not in a wedding dress and Chad is not in a tux, nor are we smashing cake in each other’s faces.

We recommend elopement. Easy, stress-free, inexpensive.

Yes, that’s right. Caleb got his first tooth last week. It is still working its way all the way out, but it is there and noticeable. Thankfully, he has not been one bit fussy. YEAH! He is such a GOOD boy. We are blessed by his wonderful disposition.

Nothing too exciting going on. Working, playing, went to lunch today at Clear Springs with Jan (a relative) and ate some yummy fish tacos. It may sound weird, but you should definitely try them. YUM!

Headed to Robert Lee this weekend for a football game. Can’t wait to see the in-laws.

Caleb is 9 months now, but I have yet to take the DP pictures. Maybe soon.

A picture of his 100% Boy shirt. It seems that no matter what I have Caleb wearing (nearly always BLUE), everyone refers to him as a girl. I told Debi, so she bought him this cute outfit. It worked. No one called him a girl that day.

Chad loves his job. Yippee!

I went to a ladies bible study two weeks ago and made a fall wreath (my first one) after the study. What fun ladies! We are reading through Shopping for TIme. Suggestion #1…wake up early. Hard with a baby..but worth it.

Here is a video of Caleb dancing in a chair. Well, to us it’s dancing. He just bends his knees and shakes his head. We think it is adorable, but you can be the judge. Warning: it is a few minutes long.

Also I was steaming some fresh squash for Caleb’s lunch so he was in the kitchen with me and I saw him laying on his belly licking the floor. He was tyring to eat the sunlight coming in from the window. It was pretty cute.

Hopefully, I can post some new recipes soon. Caleb is not too big on eating from a spoon, it is a fight a lot of the time here lately. I am experimenting with some recipes for finger foods because he will stick anything in his mouth, but he does not have any teeth yet. I want something healthy though, so we will see. For those of you moms who might be going through a similar stage (or may face it in the future) some good finger foods are (all cut into tiny pieces):

• cheese
• peeled grapes
• cantaloupe
• bananas
• steamed squash (vs. boiling to keep more vitamins/minerals)
• steamed carrot slivers (thin and mushy is the key)
• 100% whole wheat bread
• scrambled eggs (no egg whites due to allergy)
• rice
• peaches
• cooked noodles (egg noodles work well)
• tomatoes (no skin)

Most of these have come from my own plate because he usually only wants what I am eating.

It’s business up front and a party in the back.

So, I had my hair trimmed yesterday. I took Caleb so he could get a little trim as well; his hair is still hanging over his ears (I have already trimmed it once). When Chad saw the new “do” he thought it looked like a mullet (and made fun of me for getting Caleb’s hair trimmed). The pictures did not quite capture the true mullet. I guess Chad just liked his long wispy hair hanging over his ears and forhead. Oh well, he is still cute to me.

We are going to miss Chad and Jodee when they move to Lubbock at the end of the month. We have definitely enjoyed living so close for our short time here.

We also took Caleb swimming today at the YMCA. I finally got some pictures because Chad was able to go with us (I usually take Caleb during the week when Chad is working).
