Congratulations to Blake and Shaunna. What a wonderful gift from the Lord a child is. And soon to come Slade and Laura’s little boy Wyatt. We can’t wait to see these new babies. You can see pictures on Laura’s blog.

Last week we had Caleb’s 4 month appointment, we got some good new and some dissappointing news. Caleb is now 24 3/4 inches longs (50th percentile), but only 11 pounds 12 ounces (5th percentile). His weight gain was not too stellar, although a gain. He has been really fussy lately with his eating; crying, arching, refusing to eat. The doctor called in some acid reflux medicine so we will see if that is what the problem is. Poor baby.

This past weekend we also had the privilige of going to College Station to attend Austin Huckabee’s wedding. Congratulation to Brittney and Austin. Their wedding was beautiful and the weather was perfect. When asked if I ever regret the way we were married (elopement), I cheerfully replied, “No!” It was so stress-free and it was very nice on our finances.

Today Caleb is 4 months old. We are still working on the cereal, he hasn’t quite gotten it down. He is napping so much better during the day, and he sleeps from about 9pm-6am every night. He is really beginning to develop a personality. He loves to try to talk to me when he is supposed to be eating, but I love it, so we have lots of conversations. He is a talker like his dad. He puts everything in his mouth; hands, stuffed bear, teething rings (which are way to big for his mouth), our hands, and most often my shoulder (it is always soaking wet). He has his doctors appointment on Thursday, so we will get a weight and height check soon.

I had a good mother’s day. Chad and Caleb took me to lunch, then we went to Coldstone for ice cream later that evening. Chad also got me a new study Bible. Caleb laughed for me. Chad doesn’t believe me though. It was his first real laugh, although he tries really hard sometimes to get that laugh out. I will have to record it and post it if that’s possible.

I have still been working on Saturdays and that has been going well. We are looking forward to the upcoming weddings the next couple of months (Austin Huckabee, Jennifer Minton, Travis Dawson, Cooper Riley, Jay Scott); it is a good time to see family and friends. Unfortunately we can’t attend them all, but we are definitely excited for each of these couples. Marriage is wonderful, yet challenging, but still so wonderful.
