The Voice of the Robert Lee Steers

Filed under: General — admin @ 5:31 pm

Sorry for the decline in our blog. Many things have been keeping Chad and I busy. It seems that every night (if not at lunch and in the morning as well) we are discussing our move to San Antonio: housing, our jobs, the baby, doctors, hospitals, and more.

A few weeks ago, Chad and I had a wonderful drive to Strawn where we witnessed two amazing football coaches encourage their teams to play hard and win (good job Brent and Klye). We also got to visit with Blake and Shaunna, Beth and Brian, Kristen, and Lori. It was a fun trip (even if it was a 2+hour drive to see a football game) and definitely worth our time. Hopefully we can go to the basketball game this year too.

Chad has been receiving his fair share of football as he has been commentating/announcing at the home football games for the Robert Lee Steers. He does a great job; he’s a natural! Because we are in Robert Lee (at least every other Friday) we get to spend time with family, that’s always a plus. If anyone knows of a job for Chad in the field of sports announcing he would take it!

We also recently made a trip to San Antonio to look at some apartments and for me to interview with the Baptist Health System for a physical therapy prn (as needed) job. Well we haven’t narrowed our apartment search to 1 particular apartment yet, but I got the job. Concerning the job, we wanted something where I could work when I wanted (particularly Saturday mornings), and this one fits perfectly. The job is so flexible. The Lord is good in always providing exactly what we need.

We also got to visit with my sister, her boyfriend and my dad. It was good to see them again. It has been too long.

Another doctor’s appointment has passed and the baby is still healthy and doing well. 24 weeks along. The time is going so FAST!

I am sure I forgot something, but I will try to be more consistent in sharing what is going on. Pictures to come later!
